This May 4, 2010 Soaring Eagle Dance workshop pow wow train took the curve smoothly. Mentors, dancers and visitors were eager to be on board this evening with the Soaring Eagles. Workshop instruction began with a grand entry format to start the evening. This was the conductor’s new snug schedule for the Soaring Eagle Dance Workshop. Our pow wow train ticket puncher, Vickie Gambala was recuperating this evening. Chuck had updates on ribbons and other materials for pow wow regalia.

We had the resident San Diego Intertribal singers drum this evening. This gave the dancers opportunities to enjoy dancing two songs for each category. All the other regular categories were reviewed too. The Special contest winners from UCLA pow wow were announced to the entire group.
Debbie and the Razo crew had a really well received meal of meatloaf, corn, rice and corn bread this evening. Excellent grub! Later in the evening, we celebrated two birthdays with songs, cake and coffee or punch.
Many of our Soaring Eagle dancers, family and San Diego community members are looking forward to the IHRC Culture Days Pow wow in Balboa Park this weekend. Maybe we will see you and your family there or at the next Soaring Eagle Dance Workshop on Tuesday Evening, 6:30pm, at the Old Town Ballard Parent center. Everyone is welcome!
There are many Pow wow doings coming up in our San Diego community these next three months. Our Soaring Eagles are being selected for responsible Head staff positions at these events.
